INGREDIENTS FOR TOAST
- 1 egg size M
- 1 teaspoon granulated instant coffee
- 2 tablespoons semi-skimmed milk
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar crystal
- 2 slices of whole grain toast bread (2× approx. 20 g)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt
INGREDIENTS FOR CREAM
- 60 g cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon liquid honey
- 2 tablespoons semi-skimmed milk
FOR GARNISH
- ½ teaspoon Dutch cocoa
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1First, in a deep plate, whisk together the egg, instant coffee, and 2 tablespoons of milk using a fork. Add brown sugar and a pinch of salt to the mixture and stir. Then, soak both slices of toast bread in the mixture, letting each soak for 60–90 seconds on each side.
- 2Meanwhile, prepare a medium-sized pan and melt the butter over low to medium heat.
- 3Place the soaked slices of bread on the heated pan and toast them for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown over low to medium heat. Set the toasted bread aside for now.
- 4Now prepare the cream: In a tall container, combine the cream cheese, honey, and 2 tablespoons of milk, and beat this mixture with an electric mixer on high speed for 1–2 minutes.
- 5After whipping the cream, take a plate, place 1 toasted slice of bread on it, and spread ½ of the prepared cream on top. Cover the cream layer with the second slice of bread and spread the remaining cream on it. Finally, sprinkle the top layer of cream with cocoa and serve immediately.
