INGREDIENTS

  • 3 large bananas (3× approx. 160 g)
  • 2 medium-sized eggs
  • 60 g butter (room temperature)
  • 70 g liquid honey
  • 150 g whole grain spelt flour
  • 50 g fine oats
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 100 g dark chocolate (min. 70%)
  • Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

    Preheat the oven to 185 °C, prepare a small loaf pan (approx. 18 cm × 7 cm) and line it with baking paper. Also, prepare a large bowl.

    Now peel the bananas, place them in the prepared bowl, and mash them into a puree with a fork. Then add the eggs, butter, and honey, mix, add the spelt flour, oats, baking soda, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt, and mix again. Then finely chop the dark chocolate and stir it into the mixture in the bowl.

    Pour the finished batter into the prepared pan, place it in the oven, and bake for 45–50 minutes at 180–185 °C.

    After baking, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then remove it from the pan onto a work surface and let it cool completely (this will take 30–60 minutes).

    Then slice the bread and serve.
