Preparation method
Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
Line an oven-safe pan with baking paper, add butter, and let it melt over low heat.
Spread Dijon mustard on one side of the bread slices. Place them on the heated pan, buttered side up. If you don't have a large enough pan, prepare the toasts in batches.
Chef's tip
1) Filling variation - add sliced ham, crispy bacon, or tomato slices. 2) Sweet and savory option - after baking, drizzle the sandwich with honey or spread with cranberry jam – both pair wonderfully with cheeses. 3) For extra crispiness, you can mix butter with a little grated Parmesan and spread it on the outside of the bread before frying.
