INGREDIENTS FOR THE DOUGH
- 110 g softened butter
- 140 g all-purpose flour
- 50 g powdered sugar
- egg yolk
- 50 g walnuts
- 1/3 teaspoon ground vanilla
- pinch of salt
FOR COATING
- 70 g powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Finely blend the nuts and mix with sugar, flour, vanilla, and salt. Add the chopped butter and egg yolk, then knead into a smooth and slightly sticky dough. Wrap it in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- 2Preheat the oven to 180 °C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out two long logs from the dough, then cut them into equal pieces with a knife. From each piece, roll smaller logs, then shape them into crescent forms.
- 3Once the entire baking sheet is ready, transfer it to the refrigerator for another 10 minutes to firm up. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, until the crescents are lightly golden.
- 4Let them cool slightly on the baking sheet, then while still warm, coat them in powdered sugar mixed with vanilla. If they break, let them cool a bit longer before coating. Enjoy!
