INGREDIENTS
- 600 g puff pastry
- 200 g prosciutto crudo
- 100 g Emmental slices
- 100 g sun-dried tomato pesto
- 3 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1 egg
- white sesame seeds for sprinkling
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Divide the puff pastry into 2 equally sized parts and roll them out. Cut each part into squares. From 300 g of dough, you will get 4x 7 squares. The squares should go from largest to smallest to allow for layering the tree. On each part, except the last one, place a piece of prosciutto, cheese, and pesto. Stack two squares perpendicularly on top of each other and secure with a skewer.
- 2Brush the tree with beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. After cooling, remove the skewer and sprinkle with fresh thyme.
