Chicken preparation and baking

Place the chopped chicken in a bowl. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cornstarch. Mix everything well so that the meat is evenly coated.

Preheat the oven to 220 °C. Place the chicken pieces on a baking sheet lined with baking paper so that they do not touch – this will make them crispier. Bake for about 13–15 minutes, turning the pieces halfway through. The chicken is done when it has a golden and crispy surface.

Sauce preparation and finishing

Meanwhile, heat a pan or saucepan. Add the sesame oil, minced garlic and ginger, gochujang paste, honey, soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of water. Stir over low heat until the sauce begins to bubble slightly and thicken.
