INGREDIENTS
- 220 g peeled apples
- 100 g softened butter and for greasing the pan
- 200 g semi-coarse flour
- 12 g baking powder
- 160 g powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
- 15 g cocoa powder
- 160 ml lukewarm milk
- coarse flour for dusting the pan

INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Preheat the oven to 175 °C. Grease the baking pan with butter and dust with flour.
- 2Core the apples and cut them into 1 cm cubes.
- 3Place all ingredients except the apples into a stand mixer bowl and mix at medium speed for 3 minutes. Add the apples, reduce speed, and mix for 1 minute.
- 4Pour the batter into the pan, place in the preheated oven, and bake for 20 minutes.
- 5Let the finished cake cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack and let it cool completely.
Tip
Serve with whipped cream.
You'll know the cake is baked when you insert a skewer into the center and pull it out dry. If there's raw batter on the skewer after pulling it out, bake for a little longer.
