OVERNIGHT OATMEAL

  • 4 tablespoons of traditional rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
  • 4 tablespoons of thick yogurt - creamy, Greek, or homemade
  • 100 ml of milk

FLAVORING Raspberry-Vanilla

  • 1 tablespoon of raspberry jam
  • 1 handful of frozen raspberries
  • a few drops of vanilla essence

FLAVORING Banana-Chocolate

  • 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1/2 banana

INSTRUCTIONS

    Pour oats, chia seeds, and all dry flavoring ingredients into a jar - depending on which variant you choose. Add yogurt and milk and other liquid ingredients according to the type of flavoring. Secure the jar tightly with a lid and shake. This will mix the base for tomorrow's uncooked oatmeal.

    Cut the fruit into cubes, slices, or anything else, to a size no larger than half a bite. Add to the base and this time mix with a long spoon. Close again and store in the refrigerator, where it will last up to three days. During its stay in the fridge, the oats and chia seeds will absorb the free liquid, so the muesli will thicken and soften to a consistency you'll appreciate for breakfast. No unnecessary jaw movements first thing in the morning. If you don't have or don't want to use chia seeds, reduce the amount of milk to 70 ml. The seeds absorb up to ten times their weight, so reducing the liquid is appropriate.

    Remove from the fridge and eat as is, straight from the cold jar, or pour into a bowl and add another serving of fresh fruit.

Flavoring Instructions

    Raspberry-Vanilla – add: 1 tablespoon of raspberry jam, 1 handful of frozen raspberries, a few drops of vanilla essence or 1/2 teaspoon of homemade vanilla sugar

    Banana-Chocolate – add: 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder (for a sweeter version use Granko), 1 tablespoon of honey, 1/2 banana
