Viňa San Pedro Gato Negro Carmenére

Deep, intense purple in color with a dark, inky sheen and very good viscosity. The nose is ripe and fruity, with a spicy, fresh aroma of blackberries and blackcurrants, complemented by spicy notes of tobacco and vanilla. A smooth, velvety, medium-bodied wine with a longer finish.

Ageing potential 3–5 years.

About the winery

The company was founded in 1865. Viňa San Pedro is currently one of the largest and oldest exporters of Chilean wine. San Pedro has more than 1,500 planted hectares in the Central Valley and in other major wine regions in Chile such as Elqui, Casablanca, San Antonio-Leyda, Maipo, Cachapoal, Maule and Bío-Bío. The winery’s main cellar is located in the town of Molina, in the Curicó Valley, and is more than 100 years old. The winery was selected as “New World Winery of the Year” thanks to the quality of its wines, its success on the global market, as well as its development and dynamism.
