INGREDIENTS
- 750 ml dry red wine
- 300 ml orange juice
- 200 ml dark rum
- 150 g cane sugar
- 1 apple
- 1 orange
- 1 lemon
- ice
- 300 ml sparkling water
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Wash the fruit, dry it, and let it chill in the refrigerator.
- 2Slice the lemon and orange and place them into a glass pitcher. Halve the apple, core it, slice the flesh thinly, and add it to the pitcher. Add sugar and pour in the rum. Let it rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- 3Mash the fruit in the pitcher with a wooden spoon, pour in the wine, orange juice, and sparkling water, mix, and add ice.

Tip: For an especially delicate flavor, you can finish the sauce with a drop of lemon juice. Homemade spaetzle or wide noodles, which perfectly soak up the creamy sauce, are an excellent side dish.
