Preparation method

Start cooking the pasta in salted water as usual, according to the package instructions. However, keep in mind that the last 2 to 3 minutes should be finished directly in the pan with the sauce.

In a large pan, heat the olive oil, add whole, lightly crushed garlic cloves with their skins, and quartered tomatoes.

After a short sauté, remove the garlic and add canned tomatoes, about 6 lightly torn basil leaves, and simmer for about 3 minutes.
