INGREDIENTS FOR HOT DOG
- 4 hot dog buns
- 4 quality sausages (meat or vegan)
- 1 jalapeño
- 3 stalks spring onion
- Fresh cilantro
- Fried onion
- 100 g pâté
INGREDIENTS FOR SAUCE
- 200 g mayonnaise (homemade or store-bought)
- 4 tablespoons sriracha
INGREDIENTS FOR SALAD
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 tablespoons cane sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce (Vegans omit)
- 3 carrots
- 1 ½ cucumber
- 5 radishes
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Mix mayonnaise with sriracha and set aside.
- 2Slice the vegetables into thin julienne strips – carrots, cucumber (remove the soft core), and radishes – you'll find a great tip below. In a bowl, mix the vegetables with salt, vinegar, sugar, and a drop of fish sauce (omit for the vegan version). Let it rest for a while for the flavors to combine.
- 3Heat the grill and toast the hot dog buns on it, at the same time grill the sausages until nicely browned.
- 4Spread each bun with pâté (vegans omit) and the prepared mayonnaise. On one side, place a grilled sausage, on the other side, add the vegetable salad. Sprinkle with chopped jalapeño pepper, fresh cilantro, spring onion, peanuts, fried onion, and finally drizzle with mayonnaise again.
