Ingredients

  • 4 pcs pork neck (250 g slices)
  • 400 g potatoes (cooking type B)
  • 12 pcs garlic cloves (unpeeled)
  • 6 pcs sprigs of rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons lard
  • 1 pinch freshly ground pepper
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 200 °C.

    Wash the potatoes and slice them into 0.5 cm thick pieces. Spread them on a baking sheet greased with lard and season evenly with salt and pepper. Place 4 sprigs of rosemary on top.

    Season the meat slices on both sides with salt and pepper and spread with lard. Place the meat on the potatoes, then spread the garlic cloves and the remaining chopped rosemary over them.

    Pour in water and bake for about 1 hour in the preheated oven.

Tip: For an especially delicate flavor, you can finish the sauce with a drop of lemon juice. Homemade spaetzle or wide noodles, which perfectly soak up the creamy sauce, are an excellent side dish.
