Preparation method
Simply transfer the dough, rolled into a circle shape and about 4 mm thick, onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Start preheating the oven to 180 degrees, leave the fan circulation off.
Mix the cream with egg yolks, a pinch of salt, and a little crumbled marjoram. Spread it onto the dough, leaving a small border free along the edges. Then, fold the edges up slightly and only partially. If you create a decorative pattern while doing so, the prize will most likely be yours.
Peel the onions and slice them into thin half-moons. In a bowl, mix them with oil and a pinch of salt, trying to separate the individual layers of onion. Then spread this beauty over the seasoned cream. Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the edges and onions are golden.
Chef's tip
Instead of shortcrust pastry, you can also use ready-made pizza dough. However, bake it very intensely, ideally between 220-240 degrees. Remove the finished tart from the oven after no more than 20 minutes, but possibly even sooner - be guided by the color of the edges.
