INGREDIENTS

  • 50 g shallot
  • 7 g garlic (1 clove)
  • 500 g fresh tomatoes
  • 400 g chopped canned tomatoes
  • 30 g olive oil
  • 200 g chicken or vegetable broth
  • 10 g brown sugar
  • Salt
  • Pepper

  • Cooked pasta
  • Parmesan-type cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

    Clean and finely chop the shallot and garlic.

    Wash the tomatoes and cut them into pieces.

    Heat the oil in a larger pot and sauté the shallot and garlic.

    Then add the fresh tomatoes and sauté them as well.

    Add the canned tomatoes and pour in the broth.

    Add salt and pepper and simmer until the tomato pieces are soft.

    Then blend everything until smooth. If you don't have a powerful blender, you can strain the sauce.

    Finally, add sugar to the sauce and mix well.

    Serve with cooked pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan-type cheese.
