INGREDIENTS

  • 400 ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 100 g quality dark chocolate (min. 70%)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • Pinch of ground chili
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 50 ml whipping cream
  • 2 small handfuls of marshmallows
  • Chocolate hearts
  • Freeze-dried strawberries for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

    In a saucepan, heat the milk together with cinnamon, chili, and seeds from the vanilla pod. Let it come just below boiling point. Add the broken dark chocolate and let it melt while stirring constantly. The mixture should be smooth and velvety.

    Sweeten with maple syrup. Taste it; the chili should be subtly present so as not to overpower the chocolate flavor. If you prefer a more pronounced spiciness, you can add another pinch. Finally, add the cream and mix everything together.

    Serve with marshmallows, crushed strawberries, and chocolate hearts.
