About the winery
Bodegas Carlos Serres is one of Rioja’s historic wineries. It was founded by Carlos Serres in Haro in 1896. Serres, of French origin, came to Haro (the wine capital of Rioja) after phylloxera destroyed the French vineyards. In Haro he sought quality wines that would satisfy even the most demanding international palates. Carlos Serres quickly became one of the most important figures in the internationalisation of Rioja wines.
