INGREDIENTS
- 140 g all-purpose flour
- 100 g chilled butter
- 30 g Cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 1 tablespoon coarsely chopped fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, oregano)
- Pinch of salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Finely grate the Cheddar and mix it with all remaining ingredients. Knead the dough and roll it into a log with a diameter of 3.5 cm. Wrap it in cling film and and place it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- 2Cut the chilled dough into slices about 0.5 cm thick. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving small spaces between them. You can create decorative cross-hatching on the biscuits with the tines of a fork. Bake for 15 minutes in an oven preheated to 160°C with convection. After baking, let them cool on the baking sheet.
Tip
They are best after a few days. In an airtight container, they will last at least 14 days, but we've never actually managed to test that :-).
