Ingredients overview
- 20 g capers in brine
- 20 g pickled gherkins
- 10 g peeled onion
- 300 ml mayonnaise
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- a pinch of salt
- a pinch of freshly ground pepper
- a pinch of caster sugar

Rinse the capers and let them drain. Then chop them finely. Finely grate the pickle. Finely chop the onion.

Put the mayonnaise in a bowl, add the capers, pickles, onion, sugar, and lemon juice. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper. Mix well and let it chill in the fridge for half an hour.
Chef's tip
You can find the recipe for homemade mayonnaise in the "Side dishes" category. You can also stir one finely chopped hard-boiled egg into this sauce. You can add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a few drops of Tabasco. You can add a teaspoon of Kremža mustard. If you do, do not add any sugar.
