  • 30 g crushed oat flakes
  • 200-250 ml milk, depending on how thick you like your porridge
  • pinch of salt
  • cocoa
  • grated chocolate
  • vanilla sugar
  • grated nuts
  • butter
  • jam
  • fresh fruit

Instructions

  • 1
Salt the oat flakes and mix with 150 ml of milk. Place in the microwave in a sufficiently large bowl (at least three times the volume of the flakes with milk) and bring to a boil at full power. This takes about 2 minutes, depending on the power of this kitchen marvel. Discreetly watch the action through the door; once the flakes foam up to their full volume, let them cook for only 5-10 seconds, then mercilessly turn off the microwave power and remove them.
  • 2
Pour the rest of the milk over them, stir, and let rest for a while on the kitchen counter. In the meantime, you can take a shower or make yourself coffee and tea.
  • 3
After five minutes, place the cooked flakes back into the microwave, this time just to warm them to a temperature you find pleasant. Transfer to a plate, garnish, season, and wish yourself a beautiful morning.
