Baked Toasts with Ham and Cheese

  The portion for 4 people is based on 12 slices of toast bread, thus creating 6 baked sandwiches, which, when cut in half, yield 12 pieces to share.

  For grilling, use a sandwich maker, or toast the sandwiches in a pan, that works too, you just need to assemble them with the buttered side facing outwards, not inwards.
