INGREDIENTS
- 2 large oranges
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup or granulated sugar
- 650 g sour cream (preferably higher fat content)
- 60 g powdered sugar
- 20 g vanilla sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Place whole oranges in a mug and pour boiling water over them 3 times in a row to remove impurities and enhance their aroma.
- 2Bring the finely grated zest and juice from both oranges, along with golden syrup or sugar, to a boil. Simmer on low heat, stirring constantly, until slightly reduced. Remove from heat. Stir the remaining ingredients into the syrup, pour the mixture into an airtight container, and let it cool in the refrigerator overnight.
- 3The next day, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker. Follow its instructions. Transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight container and place it in the freezer.
- 4You can also make ice cream without an ice cream maker. Place the prepared, cooled mixture into the freezer. Every 30 minutes, you must whisk it thoroughly until it is sufficiently frozen.
