If only 2 players are playing, they must connect not 4 but 5 game pieces in one line. Checkers:The goal of the game is to capture all of the opponent's pieces. In checkers, there are two types of pieces: men and kings (2 men stacked on top of each other). A man becomes a king when it reaches the last row on the opposite side of the board. At the start of the game, each player has 12 men positioned as shown in the picture. The player with the white pieces starts the game, and then players take turns. All moves are made diagonally forward to an adjacent empty square. A king can move to any square along the diagonal in any direction. Capturing or jumping: a man captures an opponent's piece if it is directly in front of it on an adjacent diagonal square and there is an empty square directly behind the opponent's piece on the same diagonal. If there is another opponent's piece behind the empty square and another empty square behind it, the player must continue capturing, and it counts as one move.
