INGREDIENTS FOR POTATOES
- 1 kg washed and cleaned potatoes with skin (cooking type B)
INGREDIENTS FOR GARLIC BUTTER
- 150 g butter
- 2 cloves garlic
- salt

POTATO INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
- 2Cut the potatoes into 4 mm thick slices. Arrange them side by side on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for about 18 minutes until tender. Halfway through baking, flip the potatoes on the baking sheet.
- 3Transfer the cooked potatoes to a bowl, season thoroughly with salt, and serve with garlic butter.
GARLIC BUTTER INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Place the butter in a bowl and let it partially soften.
- 2Cut the garlic lengthwise and remove the green germ. Press or mash the garlic and add it to the butter. Season with salt and mix thoroughly.
Tip
The baking time for potatoes depends on the season in which you are baking them.
This simple but delicious dish is eaten with hands. Guests take hot potato slices and lightly spread them with flavored butter to taste.
The germ in garlic contains a large amount of essential oils, which can cause heartburn, and for some guests, the dish might be unnecessarily heavy. Therefore, it is removed when preparing raw dishes or for short cooking times.
