At Rohlík, we have always prided ourselves on maximum freshness, but this new development is so fresh that we couldn't even dream of it! And probably neither could you!Today's era is characterized by sustainability, naturalness, and the motto 'I know what I eat'. When you (perhaps even jokingly) sent us questions like 'When will you start selling hens for eggs?', we thought, why not? And when we then learned that many urban customers would like a beehive on their balcony or a goat for 'mowing the lawn' in their courtyard, we took it as a challenge. Customers are always our top priority!We are therefore introducing a completely new category, 'Farm Animals', where you can choose real utility animals from bees to cows. We will deliver them right to your home, train you on how to properly care for them, and, of course, we will also deliver feed.The Czech market is likely to undergo significant changes soon. Our projections of your current interest in farm animals show that by 2027, we might completely stop selling individual eggs or milk. You will be selling or exchanging them among yourselves. And Rohlík will then be even greener!

AND ISN'T THAT NONSENSE? OR, WHAT PRECEDED IT

CAN A COW BACK UP? A NEW LESSON FOR COURIERS Our couriers are, of course, not zootechnicians nor have they worked in a circus. They therefore underwent an intensive half-day training session, where they learned all the care, practical procedures, and secret tricks of veterinarians from A to Z. For example, it will no longer happen that they get stuck in an elevator with a cow. They will even help you choose a suitable name for the new member of your family, whose uniqueness is also guaranteed within a 2 km radius. This way, you won't find three goats named Líza on your street.

A MENAGERIE FROM THE WAREHOUSE, BUT NO PIGEON LOFT! Who would have ever thought that the morning shift at Rohlik would be greeted by a rooster's crow? Of course, changes have not bypassed our warehouse and its employees – now also animal breeders. We are especially proud of our new air-conditioned barns or computer-controlled coops. And also of the entire circular system, because we always take ecology seriously. We transport manure to a strawberry farm in Vraňany and even capture the generated methane (gas from the digestive tract of cows), which already powers the first ten Rohlik cars!

ANIMAL FLEET. NOAH WOULD BE ENVIOUS Did you know that a well-aimed peck from a chicken's beak can cause an airbag to deploy? Our fleet also required drastic modifications. We therefore set aside several vehicles and rebuilt their cargo areas to suit the needs of the specific animal. You certainly don't have to worry about their comfort: “Chicken cars” have comfortable perches and an unlimited supply of feed, “sheep cars” are full of straw and wallpapered with a calming panorama of the Alps, and cows, of course, are delivered differently – in a so-called mobile cowshed towed on a hitch. You can probably guess which car we call the “stinger”. Yes, and bees were also the biggest challenge. One queen in a matchbox won't threaten anyone, but what about an entire swarm that can fly away at any time? For safety, couriers therefore set out in typical beekeeper full suits and are equipped with an emergency smoker for all eventualities.
