And because babies spend 24 hours a day in diapers, we should pay due attention to their selection. Our grandmothers and often even mothers had no other than cloth diapers, which they had to carefully take care of. Today, each of us faces the decision of whether to choose a more ecological or more convenient path. It's hard to say that one is significantly better than the other. From a medical point of view, neither cloth nor disposable diapers are 100% ideal. And from a practical perspective, a lot depends on which specific cloth or disposable diapers you choose, how you use them, and most importantly, how they suit the baby itself.

Their undeniable advantage is environmental friendliness. According to statistics, a child produces up to a ton of non-biodegradable diaper waste in the first two years alone. Conversely, cloth diapers can be used by up to three children, even though they are not 100% ecological either. Energy, raw materials, water, and detergents are needed for their production, washing, and ironing. Cloth diapers are also definitely gentler on a baby's skin than disposables, which are mostly made from artificial materials. Another advantage of cloth diapers is their lower price. With disposables, we mainly pay for our convenience. And the last advantage of cloth diapers: If applied correctly, they are more beneficial for hip joint development.
