They say there is truth in wine, and one big truth has come to light again. If you're wondering which wineries in Bohemia and Moravia are the best, we know the answer. The 20th edition of the prestigious national competition for the title of Winemaker of the Year 2022, decided by the best world tasters, determined the ranking and awarded medals. And we can proudly say that at Rohlik, you will find bottles from all three winners and most of the finalists. So let's raise our glasses and toast: to the golden Czech hands!

MIKROSVÍN MIKULOV

A winery living its own life, subordinating everything to nature. The Pálava microclimate, soils rich in calcium, and a distinctive human approach give the wines uniqueness and an unmistakable character. Mikrosvín Mikulov has been one of the most important producers of predicate wines from the Pálava terroir for many years. The pride of the winery is Ryzlink vlašský, which they grow on the highest vineyards of the southwestern belt of Pálava, but we also have their other varieties and a total of five tasting sets on Rohlik. Try the Ryzlink Vlašský 2020. If you like it, you can buy it directly in a carton. 

VINAŘSTVÍ VOLAŘÍK

In the Volařík family, they have been diligently cultivating a love for wine since World War II, when the founder of the family tradition, Leopold Volařík, learned viticulture and winemaking skills from the German locals. The development of the winemaking tradition was interrupted by forced collectivization, and a return to winemaking was only possible after the revolution in 1989, when the vineyards were returned to their original owners. Try the Ryzlink vlašský Terroir 2019, for example.

VINAŘSTVÍ SPIELBERG

In the beautiful landscape of the traditional wine-growing region of Kyjovsko, you will find the charming wine village of Archlebov under the belt of the Ždánice Forest, home to the Spielberg winery. Their wine comes from their own vineyards covering almost 65 hectares with varying ages. Young vineyards produce fresh, leaner wines, while 40-year-old vineyards create dense and extractive wines. Thanks to ecological grape cultivation and modern processing, Spielberg succeeds in producing top-quality attribute wines. At Rohlik, we can offer you seven types of their wines, from Chardonnay to BIO Ryzlink vlašský, as well as a tasting set of six bottles.
