INGREDIENTS
- 50 g shallot
- 7 g garlic (1 clove)
- 500 g fresh tomatoes
- 400 g chopped canned tomatoes
- 30 g olive oil
- 200 g chicken or vegetable broth
- 10 g brown sugar
- Salt
- Pepper
INGREDIENTS FOR SERVING
- Cooked pasta
- Parmesan-type cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Clean and finely chop the shallot and garlic.
- 2Wash the tomatoes and cut them into pieces.
- 3Heat the oil in a larger pot and sauté the shallot and garlic.
- 4Then add the fresh tomatoes and sauté them as well.
- 5Add the canned tomatoes and pour in the broth.
- 6Add salt and pepper and simmer until the tomato pieces are soft.
- 7Then blend everything until smooth. If you don't have a powerful blender, you can strain the sauce.
- 8Finally, add sugar to the sauce and mix well.
- 9Serve with cooked pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan-type cheese.
