  • 1 apple
  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
  • Package of unsalted peanuts
  • 4 pieces of marshmallow candies
  • 1 chocolate or 1 chocolate glaze
  • 4 toothpicks

    Cut the apple in half and then divide each half into two equal pieces. Carefully remove the core. Try to cut out as little as possible so that the final scarecrow doesn't fall apart.

    On the front side of the apple, where the peel is, use a sharp knife to cut a hole in each wedge that will represent the scarecrow's mouth. Spread peanut butter on both sides of the created hole.

    Gradually insert peanuts into the created mouths, which will represent the scarecrow's teeth. Finding the right size can sometimes be tricky, so feel free to let the kids help you find suitable peanuts.

    Melt the chocolate in a water bath and create small chocolate circles on the marshmallow candies, which will represent the eyes of the scarecrow. You can replace the chocolate with chocolate glaze, which you can easily melt in hot water.

    Insert a toothpick into the bottom side of the marshmallow. Stick the other end of the toothpick into the prepared apple with peanut teeth and attach the eye directly to the apple.
