INGREDIENTS

  • 2 slices of toast bread
  • 30 g butter
  • 2 slices of ham
  • 2 slices of Gruyère cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 fresh egg
  • salt
  • pepper

    Preheat the oven to 200 °C.

    In a pan, melt the butter and toast the bread slices on both sides until golden. On one toasted slice, alternately layer slices of ham and cheese. Cover with the second slice of bread and bake briefly in the oven until the cheese melts.

    In a pan over low heat, warm the oil, place a metal ring on it, crack an egg into it, and fry it until the white is set and the yolk remains runny.

    Place the egg on the baked toast, season with salt and pepper.
Tip
For preparation, you will need a metal cutting ring Ø 8–10 cm. For frying, you will need a non-stick pan

Tip: For an especially delicate flavor, you can finish the sauce with a drop of lemon juice. Homemade spaetzle or wide noodles, which perfectly soak up the creamy sauce, are an excellent side dish.
