Ingredients
- 175 ml milk
- 7 g dried yeast
- 35 g sugar
- 250 g flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 eggs
- 90 g melted butter
- 1 lemon zest
- 3 bananas
- 6 scoops Carte D'or vanilla ice cream
- Caramel topping
- Almond flakes
Instructions
- 1Crumble the yeast into lukewarm milk. Add eggs, sugar, and whisk.
- 2Sift flour, cinnamon, lemon zest, and salt through a sieve and mix until smooth. Slowly whisk in 125 ml of water and finally the melted butter. Let the dough rise for at least an hour.
- 3Preheat the waffle maker and grease it with a little oil or butter.
- 4Using a large spoon, add the waffle batter to the waffle maker. Bake the waffles for 6-8 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 5Peel the bananas, cut them in half lengthwise, and then in half crosswise. Caramelize them in a non-stick pan with a little butter and sugar on one side.
- 6Place the waffles on plates, add the caramelized banana pieces, and top with a scoop of Carte D'Or vanilla ice cream.
- 7Drizzle the waffles with caramel sauce and sprinkle the dessert with toasted almonds.
