Ingredients

  • 4 slices of toast bread
  • 300 ml milk
  • 50 g butter
  • 10 g vanilla sugar
  • 2 pcs eggs
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • powdered sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

    In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and sugar.

    Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.

    Dip slices of toast bread in the egg mixture until the bread is completely soaked. Fry in the pan over very low heat in butter until golden brown on both sides.

    After frying, sprinkle the toast with powdered sugar and garnish with fruit and a fresh mint leaf to taste.

    Fresh fruit is ideal for garnish. You can also combine 2 slices of toast bread with a thicker layer of jam and dip them together in the egg mixture. This will create a kind of sweet sandwich. You can drizzle the finished toast with maple syrup.
