- 500 g ripe tomatoes
- 500 g watermelon flesh
- 1 handful of basil leaves
- 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 70 ml sunflower oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp caster sugar
- 3 tsp finely grated ginger
WINE PAIRING
- The character of the salad is best complemented by fresh, light wines. Choose white or sparkling wines with juicy acidity.

Cut out the tough cores from the washed and dried tomatoes and cut the tomatoes into 3×2 cm cubes. Cut the chilled watermelon into cubes of the same size as the tomatoes. Slice the basil into strips.

In a bowl, whisk together the vinegar, oil, salt, sugar, and ginger until the sugar dissolves. Add the chopped tomatoes and watermelon, toss to combine, sprinkle with basil, and serve immediately.
