  • 1 Mozzarella di Bufala
  • 10 basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • freshly ground pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

    Slice the tomatoes.

    Slice the mozzarella, or tear it into pieces.

    Arrange alternating slices of tomato and pieces of mozzarella on a plate. Add chopped basil leaves.

    Drizzle with olive oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Tip: For an especially delicate flavor, you can finish the sauce with a drop of lemon juice. Homemade spaetzle or wide noodles, which perfectly soak up the creamy sauce, are an excellent side dish.
