Preheat the oven to 160 °C. Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Finely grate the nuts (a mixture of walnuts and hazelnuts, use more walnuts for a more pronounced flavor).

Cream 280 g of butter with 280 g of powdered sugar until fluffy. Stir in 140 g of flour and the grated nuts.

Whip 6 egg whites into stiff peaks and gently fold them into the dough in parts. Spread the dough onto the baking sheet, use a pastry scraper to spread it to the edges, and smooth the surface.
