Preparation method
Pour the flour into a bowl, make a well in the center, add the egg yolks, and then add powdered sugar, Tuzemák, white wine, sour cream, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt. Mix everything well and knead into a smooth dough. Wrap it in cling film and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to rest.
On a floured surface, roll out the rested dough into a sheet 3–4 mm thick. Using a pastry wheel, cut out bite-sized diamonds, then make three cuts in the middle with a sharp knife so that a lattice forms after frying. Place the prepared Boží milosti on a table and let them rest for another 10 minutes, covered with a tea towel.
In a deep pan, heat a generous layer of lard over medium heat and fry the Boží milosti until golden brown. Place the fried pastries on kitchen paper to absorb excess fat.
Chef's tip
You will need a pastry wheel for preparation.
