Preparation method
Ingredients overview
- 350 g all-purpose flour
- 250 g granulated sugar plus for coating
- 250 g butter
- 120 g finely grated nuts
- 30 g cocoa
- 1 egg
- pinch of cinnamon
- lard for greasing the molds
- powdered sugar for coating
- vanilla sugar for coating
- cling film
Mix all ingredients and knead into a firm dough, which you then tightly wrap in cling film and leave to rest overnight in the refrigerator.
Preheat the oven to 160 °C. Grease the molds with lard for the first use; it won't be necessary for subsequent uses.
Fill the molds with dough: press the dough into the mold with your thumb, but it shouldn't be too full, otherwise the pracny would bake poorly. Place the filled molds on a baking sheet, put them into the preheated oven, and bake for 5 minutes. Let the baked pracny rest for 2 minutes, then tap them out of the molds and let them cool.
Chef's tip
Coat the Pracny in a mixture of granulated, powdered, and vanilla sugar just before Christmas, otherwise they would get damp. Use a mixture of walnuts and hazelnuts. Use more walnuts, as they have a more pronounced flavor. For preparation, you will need pracny molds.
