  • 250 g semi-coarse flour
  • 250 g softened butter
  • 400 g plum jam
  • plain flour for dusting the dough
  • powdered sugar for coating
  • a pinch of salt

YOU WILL ALSO NEED

  • cling film

WINE PAIRING

  • This dessert pairs perfectly with a sweet or semi-sweet white wine. You can also opt for a sparkling wine.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1
Preheat the oven to 170 °C.
  • 2
Place the curd cheese, flour, butter, and salt into a stand mixer bowl and mix for 3 minutes at medium speed until a smooth dough forms.
  • 3
Lay out cling film on a work surface and sprinkle it with plain flour. Wrap the dough in the prepared film and place it in the freezer for 5 minutes.
  • 4
Dust the work surface with flour and roll out the dough to a thickness of 2 mm. Cut out circles with a cookie cutter. Rework the remaining dough, roll it out again, and cut out more circles until all the dough is used.
  • 5
Place a dollop of plum jam weighing 20 g in the center of each circle. Fold the circle in half and firmly press the edges together to prevent the jam from leaking out.
  • 6
Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake until golden for 15 minutes in the preheated oven. While still warm, coat them in powdered sugar.

Tip
For preparation, you will need a round cookie cutter with a diameter of 10 cm.
