INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Peel the shallot and garlic. Slice the shallot into half-rings, slice 4 cloves of garlic, and crush 1 clove in a garlic press. Wash the beans and trim off any unsightly ends. Heat oil with butter in a pan and sauté the shallot until golden. Add the sliced garlic and let it turn golden. Set aside.
- 2Dice the bacon and fry it quickly until crispy. Return the shallot and garlic to the pan and add the beans. Season with salt and pepper.
- 3Stir in the honey mixed with wine vinegar, chopped herbs, and 1 clove of crushed garlic. Sauté together for about 5-7 minutes. The beans should remain crispy inside.
- 4Meanwhile, dry-roast the almond flakes. Once the beans are ready, stir them in and serve.
