INGREDIENTS FOR TUNA STEAK

  • 4x tuna steak 200 g
  • 100 ml Kikkoman soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cane sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 50 g black sesame seeds
  • 1 lemon

INGREDIENTS FOR SALAD

  • 125 g Mesclun salad mix
  • Pink Radish Sprouts
  • 100 g peeled pomegranate
  • Handful of fresh coriander
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Salt
  • Pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

    In a small saucepan, mix soy sauce, sugar, ginger, and crushed garlic. Let it reduce for a while over low heat and set aside. Rinse the tuna steak, dip it on all sides in the prepared marinade, and coat it in sesame seeds. Let it rest in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.

    Meanwhile, prepare the salad dressing. In a bowl, mix olive oil, honey, water, and rice vinegar. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    The tuna steak can be prepared in a pan or on a grill. Sear the tuna quickly for 1.5 - 2 minutes on each side. It should remain pink inside. Mix the salad greens with the dressing, radish sprouts, and pomegranate. Serve with the tuna, sliced, sprinkled with fresh coriander, and drizzled with lemon juice.
