INGREDIENTS

  • 2 mackerel fillets, approx. 200 g
  • 2 tablespoons wholegrain mustard
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 2 sprigs lemon thyme
  • 8 sage leaves
  • Handful of flat-leaf parsley
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

    In a bowl, mix olive oil with mustard and lime juice. Finely chop the herbs and chili pepper and add to the bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Rub this mixture into the washed and dried fillets.

    Heat a pan over medium heat and pan-fry the fish. First, pan-fry on the skin side. After 2 minutes, flip the fillet and pan-fry for another 2 minutes on the other side. Adjust the cooking time according to the thickness of the meat. Boiled or mashed potatoes are best as a side dish.
