INGREDIENTS

  • 4 pork chops with bone, 250 g each
  • pepper
  • 15 g peeled garlic
  • pinch of chili powder
  • 150 g ketchup
  • 100 g honey
  • 150 ml orange juice
  • 30 g balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated orange zest
  • 5 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 rosemary sprigs, 10 cm long
  • 10 sprigs of thyme
  • salt

INSTRUCTIONS

    Preheat the oven to 160 ˚C.

    Slice the garlic thinly. In a bowl, mix a pinch of salt, garlic, and chili with ketchup, honey, orange juice, vinegar, and orange zest.

    Season the meat generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

    Heat oil in a pan over high heat and sear the meat until golden brown on all sides, including the fatty edge. Arrange the seared chops in a baking dish.

    Tie the rosemary and thyme tightly with kitchen twine and place them in the baking dish with the meat. Pour the prepared marinade over everything.

    Place the baking dish in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Then increase the temperature to 180 ˚C and bake for another 45 minutes.
