Ingredients
- 100 g mayonnaise
- 50 g ketchup
- 600 g ground beef neck
- 5 ml sesame oil
- 30 ml rice vinegar
- 10 g curry powder
- 15 ml soy sauce
- 20 ml chili sauce
- 8 g salt
- 20 g peanut butter
- 100 g peeled carrots
- 100 g cucumber
- 50 g peeled red onion
- 4 g granulated sugar
- 320 g baguette
- 30 g softened butter
- 40 g fresh cilantro
Instructions
- 1Place the ground beef in a bowl. Add sesame oil, rice vinegar (15 ml), curry powder, soy sauce, chili sauce, and salt. Mix thoroughly and let rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- 2In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and peanut butter. Whisk until a smooth cream forms.
- 3Cut carrots and cucumber into thin strips (julienne). Slice the red onion into very thin rings. In a bowl, mix the remaining rice vinegar (15 ml) with sugar and let the vegetables marinate briefly in this mixture.
- 4Form 4 equally sized burgers from the meat mixture. Cook them on a pan or grill for about 3–4 minutes per side (depending on your preferred doneness). While cooking, you can brush the meat with a little butter for better flavor.
- 5Slice the baguettes lengthwise, spread with the remaining butter, and toast briefly on the cut side until crispy.
- 6Spread the bottom half of the baguette with peanut dressing, place the meat, add the marinated vegetables, and generously sprinkle with fresh cilantro. Cover with the top half of the baguette and serve immediately.

Tip: For an especially delicate flavor, you can finish the sauce with a drop of lemon juice. Homemade spaetzle or wide noodles, which perfectly soak up the creamy sauce, are an excellent side dish.
