- 800 g chicken hearts
- 2 peeled cloves of garlic
- 100 ml vegetable oil
- a pinch of ground chili
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- juice of 1 lime
- olive oil

- This dish is best complemented by a fresh, light wine. You can choose from sparkling, white, rosé, or red wines.
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Clean the hearts. Press the garlic.
- 2In a bowl, mix 60 ml of oil, pressed garlic, chili, salt, and pepper. Add the hearts, mix, and let marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- 3Soak the skewers in cold water for 10 minutes. Thread the marinated hearts onto the skewers. Place them on a hot grill and grill for 2-2.5 minutes per side.
- 4Place the cooked hearts on a plate, drizzle with olive oil and lime juice, and serve immediately.
Tip
You can add a tablespoon of chopped fresh cilantro to the marinade for the hearts.
The hearts taste excellent with a mix of green salads or arugula drizzled with olive oil and lemon juice, and with a few cherry tomatoes.

Tip: For an especially delicate flavor, you can finish the sauce with a drop of lemon juice. Homemade spaetzle or wide noodles, which perfectly soak up the creamy sauce, are an excellent side dish.
