INGREDIENTS

  • 4 hot dogs
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 1 yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 240 g sauerkraut
  • Mustard to taste
  • Pickles
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

    Preheat the grill to medium heat.

    Heat olive oil in a pan and add chopped onion. Sauté until the onion is golden and softened.

    Add sauerkraut and season with salt and pepper if desired. Sauté for a few minutes until the sauerkraut is heated through.

    Grill the hot dogs until cooked through, usually about 7 minutes, turning frequently.

    Meanwhile, toast the buns on the grill until lightly golden.

    Place the cooked hot dogs into the buns. Add the onion and sauerkraut mixture, mustard, and pickles to taste.
