INGREDIENTS
- 4 hot dogs
- 4 hot dog buns
- 1 yellow onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 240 g sauerkraut
- Mustard to taste
- Pickles
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- 2Heat olive oil in a pan and add chopped onion. Sauté until the onion is golden and softened.
- 3Add sauerkraut and season with salt and pepper if desired. Sauté for a few minutes until the sauerkraut is heated through.
- 4Grill the hot dogs until cooked through, usually about 7 minutes, turning frequently.
- 5Meanwhile, toast the buns on the grill until lightly golden.
- 6Place the cooked hot dogs into the buns. Add the onion and sauerkraut mixture, mustard, and pickles to taste.
- 7Serve immediately.
