Ingredients
Preparation method
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the onion to the pot and sauté for 5–6 minutes over medium heat.
Meanwhile, wash and pat dry the pork leg, then cut it into smaller cubes (approx. 2 cm × 2 cm).
Once the onion is sautéed, add the meat to the pot and sauté together for another 5–6 minutes. After this time, add the tomato paste, ground paprika, finely grated garlic, salt, and pepper, and sauté for 1 minute (still over medium heat). Then pour the broth into the meat mixture and add the chopped tomatoes. Cover the pot with a lid, reduce the heat to low, and cook for 40–45 minutes, stirring occasionally. During cooking, check that there is enough liquid in the pot. If the liquid evaporates, add another 100 ml of broth.
Chef's tip
Instead of pork leg, you can also use pork tenderloin – in this case, the cooking time will be shortened to approximately 20 minutes.
