INGREDIENTS
- 500 g salmon fillet
- 1 small lemon
- 6 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons liquid honey
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons rapeseed oil (or sunflower oil)
- ½ teaspoon ground sweet paprika
- Salt
- Pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1First, preheat the oven to 200 °C, prepare a baking dish that will fit the salmon (approx. 20 cm × 15 cm), and line it with 2 layers of aluminum foil so that about 10 cm overhangs on each side.
- 2Slice half of the lemon into thin rounds and place them in the center of the aluminum foil. Squeeze the juice from the other half of the lemon. Place the salmon on the lemon slices, season with salt and pepper, and drizzle with approx. 2 tablespoons of the prepared lemon juice. Then prepare the sauce: Take a small bowl, peel the garlic and press it into the bowl. To the pressed garlic, add honey, mustard, rapeseed oil, ground paprika, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, mix everything, and pour the resulting mixture over the salmon.
- 3Then seal the aluminum foil so there are no holes, and bake the salmon for 10–15 minutes at 195–200 °C. Afterward, carefully open the aluminum foil (be careful not to scald yourself) and bake the salmon uncovered for another 3–4 minutes at 195–200 °C.
- 4Remove the baked salmon from the oven and serve.
Tip
Serve the baked salmon with fresh herbs (e.g., chives, basil, or dill).
