INGREDIENTS

  • 20 g of English bacon (at least 90% fat)
  • 1 stalk of spring onion
  • 500 g of chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons of canola oil
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon of chili flakes (optional)
  • 60 g of cheddar (coarsely grated)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

    First, preheat the oven to 200°C, line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and prepare 8 skewers.

    Cut the bacon into small cubes and finely chop the spring onion. Wash, clean, and cut the chicken breasts into cubes (about 2 cm × 2 cm) and place them in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of canola oil, salt, pepper, and chili flakes to taste. Coat the chicken in the mixture and then thread onto the skewers. Place the skewers with the meat on the baking sheet and sprinkle each with coarsely grated cheddar, diced bacon, and finely chopped spring onion.

    Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the skewers for 15–20 minutes at 190–200°C.

    Divide the finished chicken skewers into individual portions and serve.
