INGREDIENTS

  • 400 g frozen strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • 60 g whole oats (gluten-free)
  • 20 g peeled almond slices
  • 250 g semi-skimmed quark
  • 100 g fresh strawberries for decoration (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

    First, cook the frozen strawberries: Put them in a small pot with 2 tablespoons of water and let them cook over medium heat (10–15 minutes). Then mash them with a fork and let them cool for 20–30 minutes.

    Meanwhile, toast the oats with almond slices in a non-stick pan, stirring constantly, until golden (3–5 minutes over medium heat).

    Next, mix ½ of the cooked strawberries with the quark and you can start layering. Prepare 3 equally sized glasses (about 200 ml each) and layer in this order: strawberries, quark, oats with almonds. Repeat once more. Finally, slice fresh strawberries into thin slices and decorate the parfait with them. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes and serve.
Tip
Fruit parfait is suitable for a snack. If you want to have this treat for breakfast, increase the amount of oats to a total of 120 g.
